Music theory is  a set of rules developed over the centuries. Understanding these rules and how to apply them is what differentiates a musician from someone who simply memorizes a few tunes.

Music training is a non-linear learning activity. The process enhances the cognitive, emotional, social and physical development of all students.

Success involves a caring teacher and motivated students. Becoming a musician is a journey that requires self discipline, patience and determination. It is about making a sustained effort.

Early music training is about scales, fingering exercises, and learning how to read music. I teach positional playing techniques along with ear training and early development of  improvisational skills.

I teach children and adults from the earliest beginner through advanced intermediate level. I make students comfortable with their instrument by emphasizing  BASICS FIRST.
